The COVID pandemic and the resulting economic downturn has affected humankind like never before. It still poses a significant challenge for everyone, but they have hit low-income families particularly hard. In addition to struggling to pay for necessities like food and housing, many low-income families are also dealing with increased levels of violence and crime.

This increase in the number of crimes is due to factors including the financial stress caused by the pandemic, the isolation of people who are stuck at home, and social unrest. Whatever the cause, it is clear that COVID and crime are two of the worst adversities facing our nation. Low-income families are particularly vulnerable to both of these threats, and we must do everything we can to help them lessen the impact of this mayhem.

The Birmingham Crime and COVID Recovery Agency is dedicated to assisting survivors, victims, and their families recover from the adverse effects of COVID and crimes. We provide a wide range of counseling services to fulfill the specific requirements of each of our clients. Moreover, we provide financial support to help families cover counseling costs and other essential living expenditures.
